Where's Marty Derby Hill (group)

Marty discovered at Derby Hill Bird Observatory in Oswego County, New York! Steve Broyles, Professor of Biological Sciences at State University of New York at Cortland, wrote: "Several of my students and I visited Derby Hill Observatory in upstate NY to watch hawk migration on Saturday, April 25. From left to right, Liz Hensel, Lauren Glaser, Steve Broyles (me), Steve Strollo, Dan Inserillo, and Jack Ruggirello."

"Marty observed the best flight of hawks at Derby Hill this year.  There were more than 10,000 hawks on the 25th and 9300 were Broad-wings.  Marty also observed several Bald Eagles, Osprey, Northern Harrier, Merlin, AMerican Kestrel, ROugh-legged, and Red-shouldered Hawks.   He was carefully placed out of sight for the Merlin and Peregrine."

 

Where's Marty Derby Hill (Liz)
