Tasha Lawson seeks nature in her everyday life for peace, healing and fun. She is a self taught birder of 11 years and has worked for environmental non-profits in the Chicago region over the last decade where she enjoys highlighting nearby nature spaces and amplifying Black and historically excluded voices in the community. She currently works with EcoWomanist Institute as Director of Organizational Impact for the Midwest Region; amplifying the realities and presence of Black and Brown Women in nature, and she is the Program Officer of EcoWomanist Institute's Black & Brown Women Bird Watching program. Tasha loves planning bird watching events and other nature excursions as an Outdoor Afro leader for the Chicago/NW Indiana region.
