Dr. Trina Bayard is the Director of Bird Conservation at Audubon Washington. A northwest native, Trina traces her passion for bird conservation to childhood encounters with the wild and scenic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Her career has included a range of plant and wildlife studies, including her Ph.D. research on the social behavior of Saltmarsh Sparrows at the University of Connecticut. At Audubon Washington, she leads collaborative partnerships to advance the conservation of resident and migratory birds at the landscape scale. Trina has a deep appreciation for the restorative effects of nature, and is dedicated to advancing bird conservation in ways that benefit birds and people.
