When Birds Are Near
You're invited to the second installment of the BirdNote Storytelling Series on Thursday, August 26, at 5 p.m. Pacific Time.
Please join BirdNote for an evening of inspiration from the collection of essays titled When Birds Are Near: Dispatches from Contemporary Writers.
- Jenn Dean will read from her essay, “The Keepers of the Ghost Bird,” which takes readers to Bermuda to encounter one of the rarest birds: the Bermuda Petrel or Cahow.
- Thomas Bancroft, ornithologist, writer and photographer, will read from his lyrical essay, “This Is My Tribe.”
- Susan Fox Rogers, editor of When Birds Are Near, will reflect on her dual passions for birds and for books.
RSVP now for this engaging event. You'll gain new insights about birds, humans, and the wonders of the natural world.
