Join us for 18 days of wildlife viewing and cultural attractions!

Travel to South Africa with BirdNote during the best time of year: the transition into spring and early summer. 

  • Visit the Greater Kruger Conservancy to see iconic animals and birds
  • Enjoy special excursions to observe whales, flamingos, and African Penguins
  • Experience the world-famous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden
  • View spectacular wildflower displays at West Coast National Park 
  • Travel to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned
  • Tour Cape Town’s historic City Bowl
  • Explore the wine-growing Stellenbosch region

 

BirdNote and Victor Emanuel Nature Tours have teamed up to offer you the trip of a lifetime. This adventure is focused on the Western Cape and Kruger regions, where experts will immerse travelers in local culture and natural history. 

Our guide, Patrick Cardwell, is accredited by the Field Guides Association of South Africa and holds a specialist guide endorsement from Bird Life South Africa. For 50 years, Patrick has been involved with birds and activities such as sound recording, photography, banding, and regional distribution assessments throughout Southern Africa. 

Dates: TBD, Autumn 2021

Cost: $10,995 per person, double occupancy (subject to slight change, based on 2021 costs). Most meals as well as lodging, internal flights, and ground transportation are included in the cost (see full itinerary for details). Accommodations range from very good to excellent.

Tour size: Space is limited to 12 travelers. A minimum of 6 participants is needed to operate the program.
